According to many spiritual traditions, the soul’s journey is often imagined as a form of navigation. In the jargon of mediums in Colombia, barqueros (boatmen) are those who guide disembodied souls as they continue their passage into the afterlife.

A melody and the oral account of a barquera (boatwoman) in Colombia are translated into a cinematic installation that invites visitors to activate another mode of perception, extending listening through their own bones.
